Building Profile: A uniquely designed 6th form college in central Ipswich. This building ha a high BREEAM rating and will house upto 350 students aged between 16 and 18.

System Overview: An armourlite system was used for the lighting to pick up lighting control modules and luminaires. The modular wiring included an integral data pair to feed the intelligence to the lighting control modules, thus assisting in the energy saving and BREEAM accreditation. Main components used were MDB’s, Extender cables, Tees and Whip Ends.

 
Donaldson’s College Linlithgow

Building profile: A state of the school and college building that caters for pupils from 5 – 18 years old. The college comprises of modern teaching rooms, gym, swimming pool, break out areas, library, fitness room and a residential block for college students.

System Application: A fully armoured system was used to cater for both the lighting and power systems. Modular Wiring Systems Limited completed a supply and installation package for this project. The system had to be adapted to cater for certain types of decorative lighting and a ‘Powerzone’ system was utilised in the student residential rooms.

Project Name: Queen Margaret University College

 Building Profile: A purpose built university and college on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The buildings were designed to give an all new ‘academic village’. There are onsite residential buildings to cater for 800 students. The university comprises of all the latest technology and learning systems and was built in an environmentally way to reduce the carbon footprint.

System Overview: Modular Wiring Systems Limited provided a fully armoured system for both lighting and power for all of the main teaching and common areas. Lighting control data cables were incorporated throughout the lighting system to cater for the daylight dimming and absence detection.
